Our verdict

Gamma

Gamma is the better choice for most UK small businesses: there’s a genuine free plan with no card needed, prices are shown in pounds, and the Plus plan starts at £7 a month billed annually. Visit Gamma ↗

Pick Beautiful.ai instead Beautiful.ai if your decks live in PowerPoint and you want strict, brand-consistent layouts, or if you’d rather your slides were never used for AI training by default — Gamma opts individual plans in unless you switch it off.

Prices as shown on gamma.app/pricing (in GBP for a UK visitor) and beautiful.ai/pricing (in US dollars), checked 18 October 2026. Gamma says prices are subject to tax depending on location, so expect VAT on top; Beautiful.ai’s page doesn’t say. VAT: UK VAT (standard rate 20%, see GOV.UK) may be added at checkout unless the vendor says otherwise; if you’re VAT-registered, check how the supplier invoices you and ask your accountant how to record it.

Pick Gamma if…

  • You want to start free: Gamma has no traditional trial, but the Free plan needs no card and gives 400 one-off credits (Gamma help).
  • You want pound pricing and a low entry point: Plus is £7 a month billed annually or £10 monthly.
  • You need to hand over files in several formats — PDF, PowerPoint, PNG or Google Slides (export help).
  • You’ll mostly build decks from a prompt or pasted notes rather than polishing a template.

Pick Beautiful.ai if…

  • Your business runs on PowerPoint and you want import and export as part of the plan.
  • You want layouts that keep themselves tidy (Smart Slides) and shared brand controls for a team of 2–20.
  • You’re happy to pay after a 14-day trial (card required) — there’s no ongoing free plan for businesses.
  • You want a vendor that says it doesn’t train public models on your content without you having to change a setting.

Privacy note for UK businesses

Pitch decks often contain financials and client names, so check the AI settings before you upload. Gamma says content on individual plans is used to improve its AI by default; you can opt out in Settings → Data Controls, and Business and Enterprise workspaces are always excluded (Gamma help: AI training). Beautiful.ai says it uses business-tier AI APIs, that customer data isn’t used to train public LLMs and is retained by those services for up to 30 days, that content you add directly isn’t processed by its generative AI back-ends, and that AI features can be disabled on request (Beautiful.ai security). Neither vendor states UK data storage on the pages we read. This is general information, not legal advice.
